Aperol Spritz

Angela Robinson
Aperol spritz is a refreshing drink perfect for warm summer days. It's a great before-dinner drink. It's a light, a little citrusy and a little bitter, which can be modified by adding less Aperol and/or more Prosecco. Serve it in a wine glass with plenty of ice to keep it chilled and a slice of orange for garnish.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Aperol
  • 4 oz tonic water
  • 12 oz Prosecco
  • 1 orange fresh, sliced

Instructions

  • If you're making a pitcher of the Aperol spritz, don't add ice to the pitcher as it will water down the drink. First pour in the Aperol, then add the Prosecco, and lastly the tonic water. Mix well. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve to keep it cold.
  • When serving, fill a wine glass, or whatever glass you are using, half full of ice, then pour the spritz over. Garnish with an orange slice.

Notes

If you're making single servings, fill the serving glass half full of ice. Add 2 oz of Aperol, then 3 oz of Prosecco, top it off with a 1 oz splash of Tonic water. Garnish with an orange slice!
